You can tell a person or forklift is there and what they are doing. Enough for general floor views and parking overviews.
Recognize · 40 px/ft
You can recognize someone you know and read large signs. Enough for hallways, break rooms and common areas.
Identify · 80 px/ft
You can identify a stranger's face and read a plate, shipping label or BOL. Needed at entrances, dock doors, pack stations and lot entries.
Why angle matters
A camera spreads its pixels across the whole scene. A wider angle or a longer distance spreads them thinner, so the same 4K camera identifies at 17 ft with a 110° lens but at about 35 ft with a 60° lens.
